So much for the diet! What an awesome experience! I come here whenever I'm in Chicago but this time was kinda special as I was dropping off my daughter at school. We had a fantastic father-daughter dinner. We split the Malnati Salad and a Deep Dish Malnati Chicago Classic with the Buttercrust (ooooh, Buttercrust...channeling my inner Homer Simpson there). The meal was terrific as usual. I absolutely love the tomato sauce... completely unique; like no other! Portions are huge and the prices are reasonable. The staff was off the charts friendly as well. Absolutely love this place!

This place was amazing. Our server, Shannon, was the kindest lady imaginable, and our food was great. Who knew hot honey belonged on pizza? You want good pizza? Come to Lou Malnati's.

The service was amazing. Reviewing this is difficult because I don't think we are Chicago deep dish pizza lovers. We got the original and added pepperoni, the pizza was mostly flavorless and the large patty of sausage was off putting. The wait staff and appetizer was amazing. Would try something else if we went again.

We ordered classic deep dishes pizza and the Lou pizza. I think sausages is not good taste, but the other topping and pizza crust is delicious. And I really recommend to order salads!

I was really looking forward to an authentic Chicago deep dish experience, but this place completely missed the mark. We ordered The Lou deep dish and a Margherita thin crust, and both came out undercooked to the point of being inedible. The “buttercrust” was especially disappointing—it tasted like it had been sprayed with something akin to Pam rather than made with real, quality ingredients. It lacked flavor, texture, and any sense of authenticity. We ultimately had to return the pizzas because we simply couldn’t eat them. While the manager was polite and issued a refund without hesitation, it honestly felt like a routine occurrence—which says a lot. If you’re coming to Chicago for a true deep dish experience, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This was a waste of time, appetite, and expectation.
